January and February 2018

It was really quiet in January. Only the  Kirmis family was with “Sally” (Firstprizebears Pasadena) at the CACIB in Nürenberg / GER. There she finished 2nd in Intermediate. Daddy was still happy

In January I found out that we have a new champion since the end of 2016.

Firstprizebears Nicole Kidman is Slovenian Champion. She is the daughter of Ch. Lärkängens at Firsticebears and Ch. Firstprizebears Helen Hunt. She is the 3rd dog from this litter who became champion. Neil Diamond and Nora Jones are her siblings. Proud owner is Matjas Seljak and his wife

lots of news  in February:

Celje in Slovenia had a double CACIB show on 17./18-2-2018. Fernando Suny had entered his “Kim” Multi Ch. Firstprizebears Kim Karnes on both days. Alessio Stramesi exhibited her there with great results. On the first day she became Best of Breed with CACIB, she also won the group 1. Judge was the Dutchman Mr. Jipping. On the second day she was “only” the best female. “Kim” is now Slovenian Champion.

Ms. Hellwig is immensely proud of her beloved “Spike” Ch. Firstprizebears Delaware, who is still in great shape at the age of 13 years and 4 months. He ended his exhibition career that day as Best Veteran in  Show. The new generation Firstprizebears Q’Walnutcreek “owned by Ms. Cocozza started her show career with Exellent 1 in the Youth Class and Youth CAC

Monika Fuss showed her beautiful “Firstprizebears Pikes Peak” in the intermediate class. However, she had to settle for second place. I was not satisfied with that either.

The largest class of bearded collies on this day was the open class males (7). This was won by “Firstprizebears Proud Percy” by Xavier Pottiez.
