Int-Show Maastricht/NL 29-09-2012

Maastricht, the old beautiful and very cosy town, is on a stone throw away from us. 35 minutes driving to the Halls. The weather was almost to good to spend the day inside. But I had decided to participate, so I had to go. Mrs. B. Müller from Penylane OES, Switzerland, judged the OES and the Beardies. It had been some time ago since I showed under Mrs. Müller. I had entered our “Lasse” and “Jadore” and drove to the show with mixed feelings. 16 Beardies had been entered and some of them came from Germany. Exciting! Lasse won the Intermediate Class and to my great joy became Best Male against 3 males out of the Champion Class. Vicky van Tiggelen started in the Champion Class with her “Firstprizebears Beat-it“. The judge had no problems in deciding and choose our Vicky with her Beat-It as Best Bitch. Now we had to fight. Vicky and I did our best to win. For me it didn’t matter who won, my own male or the bitch that was bred by us….. Mrs. Müller liked Beat-It more and I thought that she will become her BOB,  but after we had to run one more time, it was “Lasse” who became Best of Breed.

As I Later on also won with Jadore, Vicky was so kind to show Lasse in Group 1 in the big ring. She did that so well, that “Lasse” took the 3rd place. Our “Jadore became 2nd. Something very special to win with two breeds you have bred yourself in such a strong Group as Group 1 and occupy a 2nd and 3rd place. Thanks very much Vicky for a job well done. The judge in Groep 1 was Mrs. Kalinichenko from the Ukraine.
