Int-Show Hulten/NL

Saturday, 09 June 2012 there was a Show in Hulten, near Tilburg/NL. 12 Bobtails and 25 Beardies had entered. Outside, with almost no sunshine and an ice cold wind, followed by 2 minutes of rain. Almost everyone had turned into icecicles. At the end of this glorious day, the seatheating was switched on and due to this, Eef and I slowly came back on temperature.

We had a large luggage with us, 2 Bobtails, “Doro” and “King” together with the Beardies “Lasse” and “guffy”. Judge for both breeds was Mrs. P. Runderkamp/NL. In fact the Bobtails came along for fun, but for Lasse and Guffie we needed something. Lasse needed to get a CAC in the Youth Class to gain the title of Netherlands Youth Champion. Guffy on the other hand needed a Res-CAC of the full payload for the Dutch Champion Title.

The Bobtails where judged first and King became Best Male. Doro became Res-Best Bitch. After this the 8 months old Firstprizebears King Coole owned by Christel Verbakel entered the ring. He was the only puppy in his class and got a Very Promising. “Lasse” (Lärkängens’s at Firsticebears) won the Youth Class and became a Netherlands Youth Champion, with only 3 shows in a row. At last he won from all the other males and became Best Male with his 13 months of age.

The Open Class was won by “Guffy” (Clanyard Bay Mac Guffy). Vicky van Tichelen was present with her beatiful “Firstprizebears Just beat-it” and won the Champions Class. Now the 2 beautiful ones had to fight for the CAC. It didn’t care who was going to win, because Guffy and I could live with the Res-CAC. However, Mrs. Runderkamp decided differently. Guffy became Best Bitch and Beat-it Res-Best Bitch. Due to this victory, “Glanyard Bay Mac Guffy” is a Netherlands Champion. Her breeder and owner (my dear Eef Martens) bursted out in tears and almost forgot to make pictures.

The luxury problem, to win with 2 dogs and than have to go for Best of Breed, was solved thanks to the help of Marja Eilers-Ojevaar, who was so kind to show Guffy, so that I could take Lasse. Mrs. Runderkamp her choise fell on Guffy for Best of Breed and wrote the most beautiful Judging report anybody can dream of.

Mr. Hans van den Berg judged Group 1 and Guffy became 6th. It was 17.00 hrs and we where outside in the ice cold wind since 08.00. For such victories you have to sacrifice yourself.

“Guffy” inspired the Judge, Mrs. Runderkamp, to write one of the most beautiful Judging Reports I have ever read.

everything was packed for the journey back home and we had warm thought with the seatheating. Only Guffy had to go into the back.
