Crufts 2012

Crufts, the Highlight of all dog shows, takes place once a year in Birmingham/UK. In 1975 I visited Crufts fore the first time. Than still in the Victoria Halls in London. Uncountable times I have been present and since 2001 also with dogs from our own kennel. And also won Crufts in 2005 with “Apache”. But this year I was not in the mood. The judges were not what I thought it should be and therefore I decided to do something different, than to travel to Crufts.

Now that the results are known, my decision turned out to be a correct one and that it was good that I didn’t have to see it.

Lots of people who saw the results, asked if no dogs of ours where present? YES!!!! The double World Winner and extraordinary Beardie lady Ch. Firstprizebears Cony Island, the famous Firstprizebears Enfield, who became Britisch Champion in just 4 shows and Firstprizebears James Dean. These dogs where in top condition and their owners showed them perfectly. Unfortunately the judges thought the dogs were not good enough and therefore not placed. Why and whatfor I do have my thoughts about, but silence is golden.

BUT!!!! Graham Atkins made us very happy. He won the Graduate Class over 15 other dogs with his “Firstprizebears Jackie O avec Snikkles”. We are very happy and satisfied, Congratulations to Graham and Carole.
